Functional description:
An electronic circuit generates approx. 50 pulses per second. These are increased to a voltage of
approx. 16 kV using a transformer. Both the secondary voltage and the spark energy are independent of the mains frequency and voltage.
Only the pulse sequence increases when the mains voltage is too high. The very short pulse times of the ignition spark and
its stability prevent it from influencing the ionisation monitoring.
Installation instructions:
The relevant installation instructions must be observed during installation and wiring. To avoid radio interference and
line losses, the ignition cable should be as short as possible. The small dimensions and
simple installation of the ZT 870 ignition device allow it to be positioned close to the ignition electrode.
