District Heating Controllers use the meter bus interface in the controller to connect up to three bus-compatible heat meters to the control system. If several meters are to be connected, we recommend using the TROVIS 5488 Meter Bus Gateway. Then, up to 32 meters can be read. The values for flow rate, capacity, flow and return flow temperature as well as the meter readings of all connected heat meters are available over an interface to the building control center. The coupling of the meters also allows
flow rate and heat output limitation for
district heating building stations with complex control systems
.
Manipulations of the meter can therefore
be ruled out.
Compact heat meters from several manufacturers can
be connected to the meter bus
for house stations in the lower capacity range. Communication with static heat meters
is also possible.
The range of heat meters that can be connected to the TROVIS 5400 Automation System is being continuously expanded.
